Fields of Ambrosia sits high above the lagoon on the edge of a cliff. Breathtaking views spread before you like a magical painting. Spanning from Creole Rock in Grand Case to Simpsons Bay and the Caribbean Sea, it is a wonderfully variegated scene showcasing the island’s beauty; the sea, the boat and yacht filled lagoon, verdant mountains, and colorful rooftops of homes and villages. This is the perfect spot to simply sit on a chaise and observe the ever changing sky from dawn to dusk.
Positioned well off the road, the villa is a charming and stylish French Caribbean home nestled in a grand tropical courtyard. Cool terra cotta floors through the home create a seamless flow from indoors into the outdoor living spaces. A spacious covered veranda features an al fresco dining room at one end and an outside living room opposite. The elegant interior living opens to the veranda, the breezes and the views. The well-appointed contemporary kitchen is a perfect place to prepare a meal while still enjoying the amazing scenery. A large inviting turquoise pool sits right at the edge of the terrace seamlessly blending with the lagoon and sea.
The villa features three air conditioned, very private bedrooms all with beautiful views; one in the main house and two at each end of the terrace. Each bedroom has a private seating area plus en suite bathroom in classic French style with traditional Provence tiles. The entire home has been recently refurnished in comfortable Tommy Bahama teak and wicker accented with Indonesian style décor and tropical print fabrics.
The villa is beautifully situated providing easy access to French and Dutch side amenities. One minute away is Porto Cupecoy with an excellent gourmet shop and fine dining at Mario’s Bistro, Rendezvous and more. Just beyond are Temptation, Escape and Bar Code. You are also very close to fantastic French side beaches and Baie Nettle, home to the new island stars, Le Sand, Dreams and Mezza Luna. There is also lagoon side water sports concession. In a few more minutes you arrive in the charming colonial town of Marigot with shops, excellent restaurants, the Creole market, art galleries and historic buildings. Further afield, you are at the airport in 10 minutes, Grand Case in 20 minutes and Philipsburg in 30 minutes.
